TOYO TIRE NORTH AMERICA MANUFACTURING INC. PRESENTED FORD Q1 AWARD

Today TOYO TIRE NORTH AMERICA MANUFACTURING INC. (“Toyo”) received the Ford Q1 Award at a ceremony at its facility in White, Georgia. The award was accepted on behalf of Toyo by Jim Hawk, Chairman of Toyo Tire Holdings of Americas, and was presented by Robert Iannaccone, Ford Supplier Technical Assistance, along with other Ford Motor Company representatives, including Brian Gao, Tamara Reeves and Nicholas Vrnak.

“We are honored by this reaffirmation of our partnership with Ford and we gathered today to celebrate their recognition of the quality of our products and the excellence of our team,” said Steve Wesner, Chief Quality Officer at Toyo Tire Holdings of Americas. “This award is a testament to the success of our team in delivering high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.”

Toyo announced in August 2016 that it had been recognized by Ford as a preferred supplier and was awarded the prestigious Ford Q1 award. Toyo earned the award in recognition of its superior product quality, high reliability, exceptional materials and dependable supply chain management.

The Ford Q1 award is internationally acknowledged as an indication of extraordinary quality and is only granted to those suppliers that have proven capabilities well beyond ISO/TS16949 automotive certification requirements and meet Ford’s stringent quality standards. In order to qualify for the award, Toyo was required to undergo rigorous audits, ensuring that the company continuously met Ford’s strict criteria.

Toyo has supplied original equipment tires to Ford since April, 2014.
