Toyo Tires and Bryce Menzies to Compete in the Silk Way 2019 Rally in July
CYPRESS, CA – Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. (Toyo Tires) and Team Toyo driver Bryce Menzies will compete in the Silk Way® 2019 Rally running July 6 through the 16th. It is the ninth edition of this international rally competition that features the world’s greatest rally drivers. This year’s route begins in Irkutsk, Russia then crosses through Mongolia from north-to-south, and eventually finishes in the vast Gobi Desert in Dunhuang, China.
Menzies will be piloting the Toyo Tires / Red Bull / Menzies Motorsports rally car, a race-proven PH Sport 3008 DKR spec 2018 Peugeot. The Peugeot rally car is equipped with Toyo Open Country tires, known for their winning-performance in both rally and off-road events around the world such as the Dakar® and the SCORE Baja 1000. Bryce Menzies is a three-time SCORE Baja 500 winner, former SCORE International® Series Champion and two-time Mint 400 winner in the Best In The Desert series. Also proficient in short course off-road racing, Menzies won the TORC Series Pro2 class championship three years in a row, 2011 – 2013. He pilots the #7 Red Bull / Toyo Tires / KMC Ford SCORE Trophy Truck in events such as the SCORE Baja 1000.
