San Bernardino, CA – Kyle LeDuc and Toyo Tires won Sunday’s Round 8 in the Pro 4 Class of the Lucas Oil® Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) this past weekend. This victory came as the series returned to the Glen Helen Raceway near San Bernardino, CA. LeDuc’s #99 Monster Energy / Toyo Tires / WD-40 Ford truck relied on Toyo Open Country race tires to capture his fifth victory of the 2019 championship season.
During Saturday’s Round 7, LeDuc experienced transmission problems which ultimately cost the race win. Sunday proved to be a different day with his dominant victory.
“Our team came to Glen Helen with one thing in mind, dominate,” said LeDuc. “We led almost all the laps this weekend and came out with a win today (Round 8) with Toyo Tires.”
Also capturing a second-place finish during Saturday’s Round 7 in the Pro 2 class was Brandon Arthur driving his #6 MAV TV / Toyo Tires Chevrolet truck equipped with Toyo Open Country race tires. During the 2018 season, Arthur finished 2nd overall in the Pro Lite class championship. This podium finish in Pro 2 confirms he remains a force to deal with in LOORRS.
“We congratulate Kyle LeDuc on winning Sunday’s Round 8 in the Pro 4 class at Glen Helen. It is great to see him capture most of the race victories so far in the 2019 championship season,” said Stan Chen, senior manager of events and sponsorships, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. “Congratulations to Brandon Arthur as well for his second-place finish during Saturday’s Pro 2 race.”
LeDuc is a five-time Pro 4 Class Champion, four of those being consecutive from 2014 to 2017. He is also a four-time winner of the prestigious Lucas Oil® Challenge Cup. This season he won Round 1 at Glen Helen in California; Round 2 in Chandler, Arizona; Rounds 5 & 6 at the Wild West Motorsports Park near Reno; and now Round 8 at Glen Helen. This Round 8 victory represents LeDuc’s 97th career win overall with 91 of those being on Toyo tires. LeDuc has his sights set on winning championship number six in 2019 and he hopes to win his much coveted 100th career victory soon after.
Only one more round remains to decide the overall championship. The final (Round 9) and the Lucas Oil® Challenge Cup race will take place October 26 at the Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler, AZ.
