ENSENADA, BAJA CALIFORNIA, MEXICO – Bryce Menzies and Toyo Tires® four-peat at the SCORE Baja 400 desert race, as they took the overall win again for the fourth time in a row since 2021. Team Toyo also captured four of the top five spots on Toyo Open Country® M/T-R tires with Bryce finishing first, Alan Ampudia second, Christopher Polvoorde fourth, and Tavo Vildósola fifth overall. In addition, Gustavo Vildósola Sr. won the Trophy Truck Legends class, achieving his 11th consecutive win. Rounding out the victories, Rodrigo Ampudia won the SCORE Pro UTV Forced Induction class on Open Country® SxS tires.
Bryce Menzies and his #7 Red Bull / Toyo Tires / KMC Wheels AWD Mason Motorsports Trophy Truck clocked in a winning drive with an official time of 7 hours, 53 minutes, and 57 seconds, relying on the championship-winning Toyo Open Country® M/T-R tires to get to the finish line. In a historic stretch, Menzies has won four of the last six races in the SCORE series, dating back to last year’s Baja 500 victory. Menzies and Team Toyo will now prepare for the upcoming Baja 1000 race that takes place in November.
“Winning four Baja 400 races in a row is something special,” said Bryce Menzies. “I’ve done a lot in my career, but nothing like this. The Baja 400 is the most technical race of the year, and I feel like it suits my driving style. I couldn’t have accomplished this without Toyo tires keeping me moving all day long.”
“Four straight Baja 400 desert race wins is an incredible achievement for Bryce and Team Toyo,” said Stan Chen, sr. manager, events, sponsorships and motorsports, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. “Overall victories are always a cause for celebration, but we can’t overlook the consistency at which the team continues to deliver at these high caliber races. We look forward to the highly anticipated Baja 1000 later this year and hope to finish the year strong.”
In addition to Bryce Menzies’ fourth straight SCORE Baja 400 win (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024), Team Toyo drivers have also won the SCORE Baja 1000 five times: Robby Gordon (2006), BJ Baldwin (2012 and 2013), Alan Ampudia in (2019), and Bryce Menzies (2023); the Baja 500 five times: Robby Gordon (2013), Tavo Vildósola (2016), Andy McMillin (2017 and 2019), and Bryce Menzies (2023); and the SCORE San Felipe 250 three times: Ampudia (2024), Bryce Menzies (2021), and Andy McMillin (2019); Menzies has also won the following races with Toyo Tires: the NORRA Mexican 1000 (2022, 2023, 2024), the BITD Vegas to Reno (2020), and the Toyo Tires Desert Challenge at King of the Hammers (2020 and 2021).
